Quick Attach Coupler System

NPK Quick Attach Coupler System The NPK hydraulically operated Quick Attach Coupler will couple any bucket or attachment with the same pin diameter and center to center dimensions as the original equipment manufactured bucket. NPK now also carries a complete line of manually operated Quick Attach Coupler Systems.

Features
  • NPK hydraulic Gatelock™ system - a patented design, double locking system for safe operation and ease of use.
  • Forces acting to open the Gatelock™ latch during digging or hammer/compactor operation are perpendicular to the direction of hydraulic cylinder force (Illus. E). The Q/A frame assembly, not the cylinder, resists the load forces.
  • Built-in mechanical spring to ensure the cylinder is in the locking mode in the absence of hydraulic pressure.
  • A hardened alloy steel safety lock pin locks the latch to the Q/A frame body.Heavy duty, T-1 steel construction.
  • High capacity lifting eye.
  • The NPK Quick Attach Coupler comes complete with controls, fittings, mounting pins and installation instructions.

Simple procedure to couple and uncouple a bucket or attachment

  • Move the switch on the Q/A control box in the cab to the release position, this will retract the hydraulic cylinder and unlock the latch (Illus. A).
  • Remove the safety lock pin.
  • Position the Q/A over the attachment and engage the near pin (Illus. B).
  • Extend the bucket cylinder, while lifting the attachment slightly off the ground, to fully capture the near mounting pin (Illus. C).
  • Continue to extend the bucket cylinder, curling the Q/A to the far pin. The Q/A latch will ride over the far pin until it is fully seated in the Q/A slot (Illus. D).
  • Install the safety lock pin.
  • Move the switch on the Q/A control in the cab to the engage position, this will extend the hydraulic cylinder and lock the latch (Illus. E).
  • To uncouple the attachment, simply reverse the above procedure.
