NPK Offices Reopening

Friday, May 1, 2020

Governor DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health have announced the Responsible Restart Ohio plan that goes into effect May 1.  As part of that plan, manufacturing facilities will be permitted to reopen starting next week on the condition that social distancing and other health & safety measures are adhered to.  NPK has been working on making adjustments to our facilities and daily practices in order to comply with these measures; therefore our offices and manufacturing facilities will be reopening Monday, May 4.

Employees with the ability to work from home will be continuing to do so.  Employees reporting to work will have their temperature taken upon arrival, will maintain social distancing requirements, will maintain a regular handwashing schedule, and will wear face coverings as per Ohio Department of Health requirements and recommendations.  Employees exhibiting symptoms will not be reporting to work, and anyone who doesn’t pass the temperature screening upon arrival will be sent home.

All facilities will be sanitized overnight and common areas will be sanitized on a regular schedule throughout the work day.

NPK is installing buzzers at various entrances for non-employees.  All non-employees will be required to buzz/call in and have health screen done prior to entering NPK facilities.  All non-employees will also maintain social distancing requirements and wear face coverings within the facilities.  Disposable mask dispensers will be set up at points of entry, but we ask that any visitors to our facilities bring their own face covering if possible.

For the health and safety of our family, our coworkers, our friends, and our community NPK will continue to do everything we can to combat this invisible enemy.

Stay positive, stay hopeful, stay home, practice social distancing, wash your hands, and cover your face when in public!
